Otherwise known as the "tragical history tour", today saw 25 of us walking almost two miles around the historical landmarks of Hadfield, led by temporary tour guide Mark, who looked like he was acting as Zak Dingle's body double for the day!
Stepping back in time over two hundred year, the trail took in The Cenotaph, St Andrews Church, Sparrow Park, Chapel Walk, Merseybank House, St Charles Church, Bankbottom, the Old Police Station, Station Road, Bank Street and Old Hall Square,
named after the Old Hall, Hadfield's oldest stone-built house, dating from 1646.
After two miles, we'd worked up an appetite and headed off to Cafe Royston for a slap-up full English.
I managed to snap this photo of Pauls breakfast before he tucked in.
Once breakfast was out of the way, we had a Hadfield history quiz, with chocolate prizes for everyone.
